Antique Swiss sterling silver pocket watch c.1888 featuring hand painted bright gold detailing and cobalt blue roman numerals set onto a pale pink and white enamel background. The front and the back of the watch has beautiful elaborate engravings.
The watch has a good weight and it is tactile to touch with the smooth scratch free glass on the front and the engravings on the body of the piece. Once the watch is wound up it has a lovely ticking noise.
To operate the watch, carefully twist the top faceted gold ball situated inside the ring at the top of the piece. By twisting the ball the piece is being wound up, this watch does not need a key to wind it up.
This piece is very decorative, it would work very well on a pocket watch chain for a wedding or as a statement necklace.
