Nike revisits a touch of Olympic history just in time for the 2024 Games kicking off in Paris, France.
The Olympic Jordan 6 originally debuted for the 2000 Olympics—an event us Millenial boomers know was held just up the road in Sydney. The US Olympic teams walked both Men's and Women's divisions, clinching gold whilst barely breaking a sweat. Whilst the rest of the world watched on, it was Ray Allen who graced the court in this one-off colourway that immediately gained attention despite being a model which was 6 years old at that point.
Part of it no-doubt came down to the rarity and connection to the US team's dominance, but in actuality that red, white and blue colourway is so strong these probably would've been a banger regardless.
